About Me

Thanks for diving a little further to find out more about me. I live in Brisbane with my husband, Tim, our two daughters and little cavoodle, Max. Together, Tim and I have lived in Brisbane, Darwin and Perth as well as a stint overseas in Myanmar.

I have a Degree in Social Work and paved a path working in mental health which was challenging but I loved it! I was lucky enough to do this throughout Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia over a number of years. When I was pregnant with our first baby we packed up life in Australia and moved to Myanmar. This was very nerve wracking but also an exciting adventure to embark upon for our little family. After our stint overseas we came back to our hometown, Brisbane. Here I started working in administration and we eventually welcomed our second daughter. It was amazing being home surrounded by our loved ones and raising our girls. After all these experiences I decided I want to venture out and try something new which led me to start up my business as an Authorised Celebrant - this has become my absolute dream job!

I am a little bit of a walking contradiction as I LOVE to travel, experience new places, culture, food and people, but I also love being at home with my family, binging some great TV and eating my weight in chocolate (or ice-cream, let's be honest). Walking Max, our dog, playing with my girls, catching up with friends, reading the next book in Book Club or having a night out with Tim are my happy places.

Why I became a Celebrant

I LOVE weddings - I love the joy they bring, hearing the stories of couples and how they ended up together, the dresses, flowers, style, the little bit of magic that happens with each ceremony. I love being organised, meeting new people, being in the zone and not afraid of a mic, spreading the happiness around, and making sure everyone is feeling calm, collected and enjoying their day.

My Philosophy on Ceremonies

I strongly believe ceremonies should centre around the couple getting married and their friends and families. I don't believe as a celebrant in being overpowering or the centre of attention. My job is to bring out your personalities and the vibe you want your witnesses to feel on your big day. The question I ask is how do you want your guests to feel after your ceremony? This is the guiding framework I use to create each individual ceremony for my couples.
